Oscar Point of Sale - 21 inch Android Kiosk Mode Dine In or TakeAway

Nobody is “Too Small” for Zero Contact Ordering

When discussing Self Ordering Kiosk, the business owner often tells me they are not as big as that unnamed burger place and can’t afford thousands of dollars for a stand alone station so that customers can place an order in-store themselves.

Now that restrictions are being lifted, we all need to think out of the box a little bit. It is expected to be some months before business begins to ramp back up. Patronage will continue to increase with a lot of customers preferring minimal interaction with staff.

Self ordering Kiosks with built in Printers and EFTPOS machines are all the rage, but prohibitively expensive for the smaller operator.

Above is the Rodimus counter top unit with an RRP of $5000 + GST. You still need to add a thermal printer and eftpos pinpad. While it is all nice and sleek, the price can be prohibitive to the smaller operator.

OscarPOS Cloud lets you do this with its Android Kiosk Mode for a fraction of the cost.

Using a generic 21.5″ Android Touchscreen, which can be free standing or wall mounted ( portrait or landscape ), you get the same functionality for under $1000. Integrate the kiosk using the built in Tyro Eftpos client, configure for Dine In or Take Out mode ( or both ) and you are up and running in no time at all. You don’t even need a receipt printer as you customer can send themselves the receipt via email.

The screen is conveniently laid out in a logical layout to guide your customer from selecting a category, to an item, to modifying that item with add ons and upsells, and to the all important <PAY> button.

Large and clear text guides your customer to finalising the sale which will send the order to either kitchen printers, bump stations or both.

As always, you control everything from you Back Office Management console. More importantly you save time and money by doing it once and once only !

Fremantle Hospital Ladies Auxilary have created a kiosk where hospital staff can place orders. They did this using some surplus equipment . This is all fully integrated into their existing BOM, POS APP, MOB APP, LANDING PAGE and production kitchen printers.
