Overview
You have already seen how you can organise ITEMS in CATEGORIES ( Either as separate categories or with a parent/child relationship ).
This is great for most business models, but what if you want to create a complex REPORT or PROMOTION using ITEMS that are not all in the same CATEGORY ?
Maybe you want to create a complex REPORT or PROMOTION, using only very specific ITEMS or across multiple CATEGORIES where you cannot use SETS as your criteria.
Perhaps all you want to do is show a TAG on certain ITEMS in your eSHOP or MOB APP. For example, this ITEM contains nuts.

View TAGS
Navigate in your BOM to Settings and select Tags.
Here you can view the TAGS you have created.
- NAME : Your TAG has to have a name to be saved.
- PUBLICATION : Each TAG can be one of two types
- Hidden – these are invisible online, but can be used internally to gather statistical information or be used as a criteria in a PROMOTION.
- Public – these will be displayed as labels in your eSHOP and / or MOB APP. ( You could use this as a prompt to your online shopping to show that this ITEM can be part of a multi deal ).
- COLOUR : Set the tags background colour.
- IMAGE : Set an image to be used instead of a block colour. When the online user taps or hovers over the image, the tag name will pop up.

Using TAGS in Reports
There is a report called “Menu Items Sales by Tags” that you can run.
Where applicable, your REPORTS will now have an option to FILTER the REPORT using TAGS.
Select the required TAGS ( and any other FILTERS you want to use ) and then select <Generate Report>.
Using TAGS in Promotions
When using SETS in a PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN, you can now select TAGS as part of the CRITERIA needed to trigger the REWARD.
